Junior Reporter Mission: Open Group (My "Nature Discovery" )

Use your observations and feelings from The LOHAS "The Little Captain Nature Base" to submit the following:

  • One Signature Photo: A shot of your most memorable discovery or a highlight from your visit.
  • A Personal Reflection: Share your green discovery in English (no more than 30 words, including punctuation).

Junior Reporter Mission: Guided Tour Group(The "Eco-Tour")

After completing the tour led by Nature Bathing (experts in forest therapy and ecological connection) and SCMP Learn journalist, you are invited to submit your findings and showcase your work:

  • One Photo: Capture the "Eco-centric" natural scene you encountered during the tour.
  • Your Tour Observations: Written in English (no more than 200 words, including punctuation). Share your green discoveries and record your unique story^.

Junior Reporter Mission 1: My "Nature Discovery"

To be considered for the final selection and publication, participants must first register as a "Little Captain" in the MTR Mobile APP.
By submitting your work, you grant The LOHAS and SCMP Learn the right to edit and feature your content across our official websites, social media channels, and digital displays within the mall.

Junior Reporter Mission 2: The TWGHs Green Village Eco Tour

Be prepared for a scenic 20-minute walk each way from The LOHAS.
Wear your best sportswear and sneakers. Don’t forget your water bottle and any necessary safety gear!
Please note this activity is conducted in Cantonese.
Every little captain must be accompanied by a guardian. Both the child and the guardian need their own participation passes.

“The LOHAS Little Captain” Event [Terms & Conditions]

  1. Organizing Parties
    The competition is co-organized by The LOHAS and SCMP Learn "Posties" (hereinafter referred to as the "Organizers").
  2. Objectives and Themes
    The LOHAS aims to encourage children to observe and explore the natural ecosystem of Tseung Kwan O through a series of Eco-Adventures. Through the combination of creative writing and photography, this competition encourages participants to:
    • Share unique personal perspectives on the natural environment of Tseung Kwan O;
    • Cultivate keen observational skills and a deep sense of environmental conservation;
    • Enhance English literacy, linguistic expression, and creative thinking.

    Theme: "Discovering Nature Through My Eyes".
    Participants must submit original works in accordance with the theme.
  3. Eligibility
    • Participants must be aged between 6 and 12 years old at the time of submission.
    • All participants must obtain prior consent from a parent or legal guardian (see Section 11).
  4. Age Categories
    Participants will be automatically categorized based on their age:
    • 6–8 years old
    • 9–10 years old
    • 11–12 years old
  5. Categories and Submission Requirements
    ✅ Category A: Open Group – My "Nature Discovery"
    Open to all Little Captains visiting "The Little Captain Nature Base" at The LOHAS. Submission Details:
    1. One Signature Photo: A shot of your most memorable discovery or a highlight from your visit.
    2. A Personal Reflection: Share your green discovery in English (no more than 30 words, including punctuation).
    ^ A selection of outstanding works will have the chance to be featured in the SCMP Learn "Posties" newspaper and on our official website.

    ✅ Category B: Guided Tour Category: The TWGHs Eco-Village Guided Eco Tour
    (Exclusively for participants in this tour):
    1. One Photo: Capture the "Eco-centric" natural scene you encountered during the tour.
    2. Your Tour Observations: Written in English (no more than 200 words, including punctuation). Share your green discoveries and record your unique story.
  6. Submission Method and Deadline
    • Submission Channel: Google Link
    • Required Information: Full name, age group, category (Open or Guided Tour), and MTR Mobile account number.
    • Deadline: May 10, 2026, 23:59 (HKT).
    • The Organizers reserve the right to adjust the submission timeline or method for operational reasons.
  7. Judging Criteria and Procedures
    Scoring Weightage:
    • Thematic Expression (30%): How well you share the main message of the event and your own personal takeaways.
    • Creativity (30%): Using your own unique ideas and special storytelling to make your writing stand out.
    • Language (25%): Using good grammar and clear sentences to deliver your story within the word limit.
    • Overall Impression (15%): How well your writing captures the reader's heart and shines as a polished piece.
    • Judging Panel: Submissions will be evaluated by the SCMP Learn Posties editorial team.
    • The decision of the judges is final; no individual feedback or appeal mechanism will be provided.
  8. Publication of Selected Works
    • Selected works will be announced on May 29 via the SCMP Learn Parent Instagram and other designated platforms.
    • A selection of entries will be published in the Posties newspaper in June 15 and may also be displayed across various platforms at The LOHAS.
  9. Intellectual Property Rights and Authorization
    • By submitting an entry, the participant grants the Organizers a perpetual, royalty-free, and irrevocable license to use the work in any medium for any purpose, including but not limited to:
      • Promotional activities and social media posts;
      • Exhibitions, displays, and award ceremonies;
      • Digital or print publications (websites, newspapers, etc.);
      • The right to reproduce, modify, edit, adapt, or create derivative works.
    • The Organizers are not obligated to use any submitted work and reserve the right to edit entries for length or clarity without prior notice.
    • Participants warrant that their work is original and does not infringe upon the intellectual property, privacy, or any other rights of third parties. The participant and their guardian shall be liable for any legal claims or losses incurred by the Organizers due to a breach of this warranty.
  10. Personal Data Disclosure
    • By participating, participants and their guardians consent to the publication of the participant’s name and age group for the purposes of announcing results, displaying works, and event promotion.
  11. Parental Consent and Responsibility
    Participants must be aged 6-12. For participants under 18, submission of an entry signifies that a parent or guardian has read and agreed to these terms, specifically:
    • Permitting the minor to participate and submit work;
    • Authorizing the usage rights detailed in Section 9;
      1. Consenting to the disclosure of personal data detailed in Section 10;
      2. Ensuring the work is original and assuming full liability for any third-party disputes.
  12. Disqualification
    • The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant who provides false information, submits plagiarized work, or violates these Terms and Conditions. The Organizers reserve the right to pursue legal action for any resulting damages.
  13. Limitation of Liability
    • The Organizers shall not be held responsible for any loss, delay, or error in transmission due to technical issues, network failures, or force majeure. Participants engage in the activity at their own risk and cost.
  14. Amendments and Final Decision
    • The Organizers reserve the right to modify these terms, extend the deadline, or cancel the event at any time without prior notice. In the event of any dispute, the decision of the Organizers shall be final and binding.
